Card Game inserts are great for those who have a lot of cards but don't have the room for a lot of boxes, or those who just want their cards in as few places as possible. What are they made of?
Folded Space's filler sheets are constructed from sheets of Evacore, which is a memory foam composed of 75 percent recycled plastic that is laminated to provide strength with high rigidity. The card itself has a matte finish to increase longevity and foster a strong connection. Over one million sheets of Evacore have been produced by Folded Space!
The Evacore sheets are precision cut as per our insert designs. Because the material expands again once cut, the tray pieces stay inside the sheet frame on their own. Therefore, there is no need for any connection points from the piece to the frame, and prior to assembly you simply pop them out with no additional cutting necessary.
The process of gluing folded space inserts is quick and simple. All you need is some PVA glue, and you're ready to go :) If you want the trays for your insert designs to be easy to assemble, then this approach is ideal. For many of our items, the entire assembly procedure takes no more than 20 minutes. We recommend using an express wood glue for optimum results.
Folded Space inserts recommends the following method for building their inserts.
Dry Build the insert tray.
Flatten the tray walls while keeping them inserted into the base.
Apply Glue in thin lines from corner tab to corner tab.
Assemble the tray by standing the walls up and pressing the pieces together.
Then wipe off any excess glue and leave to dry.
